Anyone still using the encyclopedia as a reference source? I have a set of Britannica dated 1985. At one time we used it heavily, now it is easier to just do a search on the I-Net to get answers.
As Christmas is approaching, we celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25th. Was that really the date of his birth? No one knows for sure when he was born, however speculations by scholars continue. I did a search on the I-Net. There are numerous references to consider and I chose the following for review: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronology_of_Jesus
Any thoughts on this?

I feel most of what is known of Christ is from the writings of the apostles and by guess and by gosh.  Many of the modern day preachers make it up to suit their want's.

But what the hell, I'm looked at as a bitter old man.

I agree, Don. i came to some form of resolution recently, and that was to say what I think/feel and let the chips fall where they may. I'm sick of trying to be politically correct. I prefer honesty, and as someone once said, "The Truth Hurts".
