Sex and Success Empty
PostSubject: Sex and Success   Sex and Success EmptySun Nov 09, 2014 8:59 am

It is said that the sex drive is the strongest drive in the human body.  Successful people are often those with a strong sex drive.

We can look at some past leaders who were highly sexed.  JFK had one or two Mistresses in Georgetown.  There is also his relationship with “Happy Birthday Mr. President” (Marilyn Monroe).  Although the Press knew about this, in those days they didn’t disparage the President.  Then there was Bill Clinton, another good leader.  Unfortunately the Press had changed and their need for sensationalism brought him down.
In France, former President Mitterrand had a Mistress and the government paid for her apartment.

In Sports, Tiger Woods was at his peak when he had affairs.  When that came to light and he was forced to become Mr. Clean, his golf game suffered and he has never recovered.

There are many people who would make good leaders, but they don’t run for office as the Skeleton’s in their closet would destroy them.

We had good honorable people in office.  One in particular was a Sunday School Teacher by the name of Jimmy Carter. His leadership is still questioned.

I’m not condoning marital indiscretions, just stating facts.  Do we want a Puritan as President or a capable Leader?  If it is the latter, then we should not be concerned about his/her private lives.  JMO.

I don't think the press brought Clinton down, Abe. He's still one of the most sought-after speakers in the world, commanding hundreds of thousand dollars each time he opens his mouth. Whenever anyone sneezes in the government, the press asks his take on it.

And I understand your question; however, I still believe the people we vote into office should have some integrity. What a huge embarrassment it was to try to explain to a child not to lie or cheat when our own president was caught doing it/them.

We knew about it from the press and of course the keeper of the soiled skirt, Monica.

Yes it was.
Everyone has his/her personal beliefs about morals and I respect them.  What I object to is forcing those beliefs on others and that includes religion.
I don't think it is our business to pry into the private lives of others. Assumptions are usually wrong.
From my personal experience, I've know of women who became frigid due to medical problems.  To save their marriage, the women condoned and often encouraged their mate to seek pleasures elsewhere.
An example in the reverse:  When I was in the USAF, a friend of mine told me about a situation where his boss fixed him up with his wife.  The man was unable to perform sex.  He loved his wife and rather than lose her, he set up a weekly date for his wife with a man he selected.
We tend to jump to conclusions and pitty the wife/husband when one is deemed to be "unfaithful" and are quick to condemn.
